Jumh holds a Master of Counselling (Advanced) from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), Bachelor of Counselling from Singapore University of Social Science (Singapore) and Professional Diploma of Psychotherapy and Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from The School of Positive Psychology (Singapore). He is currently a Provisional Clinical member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

Jumh has 9 years of experience specialising in counselling both children and youths (typical/special needs), young adults, working adults, couples, and families. He has worked in schools, special need centres, mental institutions, family service centres and church settings.
​
Jumh has experience dealing with school refusal, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, anger, assertiveness issues, social skills, self-esteem issues, traumas, and depression with children. With teens, Jumh has experience dealing with eating disorders, self-esteem/images, cutting/self-harm, depression, anxiety, social skills, traumas, and career/interest development.

With adults, Jumh has experience dealing with relationship issues, career choices, childhood traumas, depression, and anxiety. He also worked with singles in the dating phase and couples to work on realistic resolutions for their situation.

With couples, Jumh has experience in helping couples in dealing with issues from childhood/past relationship scars, using 5 love languages and 5 ways of apologies to increase their intimacy and rekindle their relationship, conflict resolution, and find common interests. Jumh is a believer in 5 love languages and 5 ways of apologies to strengthen relationships between couples.

With families, Jumh has experience in helping each family member to be aware and clear about their boundaries and fulfil their roles in strengthening their family bond, conflict resolution, resolving ambiguity in their roles as a family member, and time management/self-care. Jumh has experience in using structural family therapy to organise with each member how they can function well in their family subsystems.
Jumh takes an integrated approach, drawing from Redecision Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Choice Theory & Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. He had training with SOS in suicide intervention and had experience working with clients.
Jumh is also trained in Career Counselling to work with individuals who are secondary school students finding passion in future endeavours; fresh graduates finding jobs or mid-life crisis career switch using Holland Typology, Super’s Life Span, Gottfredson’s theory, and Happenstance theory.

Jumh is fluent in English and Mandarin, can understand Korean and Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu, and basic conversational Japanese.
